A very special email...
Today I received an email stating I had been accepted as a photographer for a very special cause
"The Littlest Heroes Project". I am so excited to start volunteering for this cause it sits very close to my heart because my daughter Nevaeh has been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. She is a little ray of sunshine that has a never ending supply of hugs and kisses! Even if your a stranger in a store keep your eyes open for a flying kiss, she loves to blow kisses!

My Application Letter
Hi I have a serious love for capturing moments and reliving them over and over! I am 32 years old and have made a transition from hobbyist photographer to professional photographer in the last 2 years. I love photographing people and find them the easiest to capture.
I had my first daughter April 2008. Everyone says wait till you are a mother you will never stop worrying. But my worry some journey started just 18 weeks into my pregnancy. I was told my baby may have Downs Syndrome. I went through many grueling tests and was poked and prodded. But when they told me they could not tell me the sex of my baby, but they still offered me an abortion. I was mortified.
My daughter has taught me so much, she has so much love to offer and many strangers we see everyday. I have had people stop me in the market just to say "thank you" because her smile and lovable personality made their day. I can't imagine my life without her.
After she was born, I looked and looked for something like this cause. I found Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. Which I thought about, but found there are many photographers out there volunteering already. Plus I have met so many amazing people in my community and surrounding area with children who have disabilities, and I find each one special in every way! I love pulling out my camera when we have our playdates... these children radiate such a pure love for life.
Anyways I would love to be considered as one of your photographers!
